Terms and Conditions

1. Who provides the Service
voic.cloud (the "Service") is built and operated by an independent solo developer, github.com/vire (the "Operator"). These terms are an agreement between you and the Operator. By creating an account or using the Service, you accept them. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
2. What the Service does
The Service turns audio recordings you upload into structured transcripts with timestamps and speaker labels, lets you chat about those recordings, and exposes the same transcripts over an API.
3. Personal data
The Operator collects no personal data about you except your email address, which is used to sign you in and to operate your account. If you sign in through an OAuth provider, the Service also receives the data that provider shares with it, as shown on the provider's consent screen. There is no ad tracking, no analytics profiling, and your data is never sold.
4. Your content
Recordings, transcripts, and chats you create remain yours. You grant the Operator a limited right to store and process them solely to provide the Service. You are responsible for the content you upload, including obtaining any consent from recorded persons that the law of your jurisdiction requires.
5. Storage and security
Your data is stored in encrypted form on private infrastructure located in Europe. The Operator uses state of the art encryption in transit and at rest and takes reasonable technical measures to protect your data. No system is perfectly secure, and absolute security cannot be promised.
6. Third-party providers
The Service shares data with a small, fixed set of providers, and only as needed to work:
- Hetzner: hosting and object storage for the Service and your audio files.
- ElevenLabs: transcription. Your audio is sent there to be transcribed.
- OpenAI and Anthropic: the chat with recording feature. Transcript content is sent as context for your questions.
Where you bring your own API keys, requests to those providers are made with your keys and are also governed by your own agreement with them. No other third parties receive your data.
7. Acceptable use
Do not use the Service to break the law, upload content you have no right to, or disrupt or abuse the infrastructure. Accounts doing so may be suspended or removed.
8. No warranty
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind. No guarantee is made about availability, the accuracy of transcripts, or the accuracy of AI-generated answers, which can be wrong.
9. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the Operator is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for loss of data or profits, arising from your use of the Service. The Operator's total liability is limited to the amount you paid for the Service in the twelve months before the claim, or zero if you paid nothing. Nothing in these terms limits rights that applicable consumer law grants you and that cannot be waived.
10. Termination and deletion
You can stop using the Service at any time and request deletion of your account and data. On deletion, your content is removed from active systems; backups expire on their regular schedule.
11. Changes to these terms
These terms may change as the Service evolves. Material changes will be announced on the Service, and continued use after a change means you accept the updated terms.
